This is fantastic! You guys have awesome customer support and I can't wait to tell my geek son that he was wrong! I fit your target customer profile so well, it isn't funny. Soccer mom (without soccer actually. LOL) Semi techy, just want a way to keep up w/ my store and other going on's in Internet life. I walked by the PEEK one day in Target and had to have it. A couple of days later I went back to get it. It takes to long to check gmail on my cell, I don't always have a wireless connection for the laptop. I love my PEEK already. Thank you...

Due to the inexpensive month to month email, at $20/month this is the least expensive means of basic mobile communication yet. I have purchased my unit for use by a school friend that has fallen on very bad times and is homeless (not an alcohol or drug abuser). He has high tech skills (formerly at a large database management company) and can do sophisticated text-mining. We are hoping he can get on his feet soon with a job and that his PEEK will help him stay in communication with others in his field.
My wife was recently diagnosed with cancer requiring her to have 6 hours chemotherapy at UCLA Medical Center every 3 weeks so I purchased 2 PEEK gadgets so that we could both keep in touch with the outside world by email during her hospital treatment. We chose PEEK in preference to a BlackBerry because we wanted to retain the convenience of our regular cell phones and yet enjoy benefit of having a flat fee $20 monthly charge for unlimited email service on the PEEK gadget.
OMG!! This device is AWESOME!!! If only I'd had this during hours and hours of interminable soccer, volleyball, basketball and football practices, so I could still get work done while I waited for the kids!!! I can't always count on WiFi with my laptop at practice, can't do much of my work with text on cell phone, but my Peek could definitely do the job!
But they're not just for non-techie moms; I'm one of the most wired women I know, and this is a perfect solution for me, will let me stay in touch with my virtual team without having to lock into a two-year cell phone commitment that might have less-than-happy texting add-on plans. (Like an additional $200 a year for text with a lot of limitations.)
And my spouse, who thought at first this was just another of my "toys" is actually thinking about buying a bunch for his staff. They're all locked into a corporate cell phone plan; the team is constantly nagging about getting a Blackberry, but the cost is prohibitive both for equipment upgrades and change to plan. Having them keep their cell phones and get a Peek would be a nice stop-gap.
My oldest kid wants one the moment that texting is out of beta; just hope I can keep her from running off with my Peek between now and then! Bravo, Peeksters, thanks for a great product!
Love this thing ... While I could do this through a crackberry, I like this simplification principle for the peek.
Thank you to two fine customer service reps who have helped me greatly. First of all, I spoke with Sean on 11/10 and said I was sending my Peek back because it wasn't the newest model. Then I slept on that, and changed my mind. I opened up the Peek box this morning and needed help. Debbie was most patient and helpful. She didn't make me feel like a nitwit, and she walked me through all sorts of tricks. Please pass on my thanks to Sean and Debbie and tell their supervisors they are great representatives of your company. I think I'm on my way to getting plenty of use out of Peek, which is a most clever gadget, and I use that word in the kindest way.
... So I've given it to my wife who just loves it. She's amazed at how easy and simple it is. The screen is very clear and crisp and vibrant and the keys feel good. The device is quite solid and feels good in your hand. And the fact that the contact list integrates with gmail is just perfect!
Works like a charm! What can I tell you? Peek's a neat little gadget. Took it with me last week to the remote NC mountains, and kept up with my email from my hip pocket!
I really appreciate your incredible attention to service and really fast response time. Thanks for your help and for sticking with it until it was fixed.
I love my Peek. It is easy to use and the perfect size.
Just a final follow-up note.... my Peek seems to be in the peek of health and things seem to be working just fine after your generous upgrade. Again, my deepest thanks for taking so much time and effort with this. It's unusual in this world. Looking down the road a bit I sure hope that Peek makes it worldwide. To me that would be the ultimate.
All the best and continued success with Peek - it's well deserved.
Hi! Great job making the peek easy to use and register. Liking it so far!
